PSO Strings KinderKonzert: The Story of Abbie Burgess
A PSO Partnership with Maine Libraries
This
composition tells the true
story of Abbie Burgess, painting an exciting musical portrait
of a majestic lighthouse, raging storms, dancing puffins and
the brave young woman who kept the lighthouse burning against
all odds.
KINDERKONZERTS
are an enjoyable and educational way to expose young children
to classical music through fun and interactive programs with
PSO musicians. Children are encouraged to sing, dance and
wiggle while they listen and watch the orchestra members. The
concerts are 35-40 minutes in length and are great for
students ages 4-8.
