MCFF - "The Silent Soldier / JFK: Last Speech"

Lincoln Theater is pleased to launch Maine’s newest film festival!  With original movies, long and short, narrative and documentary, that are all based on true stories or events, There is bound to be something to please, entertain, inform and delight everyone.

THE SILENT SOLDIER (1:05:00, Filmmaker: Garland Waller) – MAINE PREMIERE

Shows the harrowing tale of John Waller, one of the last living survivors of the little known sinking of the troopship Leopoldville on Christmas Eve in 1944.  Mr. Waller will be joining us posts-screening for a Q&A session.


JFK: LAST SPEECH (57:46, Filmmaker: Bestor Cram) MAINE PREMIERE

Explores the dramatic relationship between two seminal Americans, President John F. Kennedy and the Robert Frost and the tragic climax of a surprising encounter with Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev at the height of the Cold War.



-Saturday and Sunday Day Passes are $25/$20 LT Member -  can be purchased in advance through the Lincoln Theater office at 2 Theater Street in Damariscotta, by emailing or calling 207-563-3424. 

-Individual screening tickets are $10/$8 LT Member and will be available for purchase 30 minutes prior to the showing.
