Lincoln County Community Theater, in residence at Lincoln Theater, is seeking production staff for the remainder of the
season. We invite interested stage directors, choreographers, music directors, designers and stage managers to submit a statement of interest with any supporting materials, such as a resume, online to Season@LCCT.org. Following A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum will be Ernest Thompson's bucolic play, On Golden Pond. The basis of the hit film starring Katherine Hepburn and Henry Fonda, the play follows an older couple as they enjoy what may be one of their last Maine summers together in their beloved lakefront cottage. On Golden Pond is scheduled to play weekend performances from May 13th to May 22nd with rehearsals to begin in early April.
Lincoln County Community Theater is pleased to announce auditions will
be held on Monday, June 13th from 5 to 7 pm and Saturday June 18th
from 10 am to 1 pm for its summer production of You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. You're
a Good Man, Charlie Brown is a 1967 musical comedy with music and lyrics by
Clark Gesner, based on the characters created by cartoonist Charles M. Schulz
in his comic strip Peanuts. LCCT will
be presenting the updated 1999 revival of the classic musical using an expanded
and inter-generational cast. The revised version features two new songs and
pop-flavored orchestrations. All ages are invited to audition by bringing a
prepared song to the Lincoln Theater at 2 Theater Street in Damariscotta. An accompanist will be provided. Performances begin Friday, July 29th and will run through Sunday, August 7th.
Rounding out the season in the fall will be the recipient of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Rabbit Hole, by David Lindsay-Abaire. The play looks in on the lives of an extended family eight months after the accidental death of the central couple's four year old child, a moment when life changed forever in the blink of an eye. With rehearsals starting in mid-September, Rabbit Hole runs on weekends from November 11th through November 20.
